The difficult trading conditions of the 2009 financial year continued into the 2010 reporting period. The rapid strengthening of the rand against the US dollar in the first few months of the 2010 financial year materially affected earnings for the year ended 31 March 2010.
We aim to provide a balanced, understandable and comparable view of our business by giving a frank account of our sustainability achievements as well as challenges.
The financial statements have been prepared in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and the Companies Act of South Africa, and include amounts based on judgements and estimates made by management.
