Foskor certified for its outstanding employee offerings

Foskor is one of 73 organisations to be certified as a Best Employer South Africa 2012/13. As evidenced by independent research conducted by the CRF Institute, Foskor offers its employees outstanding working conditions. To rephrase: the company looks after its staff exceptionally well.

The CRF Institute, a specialist firm that produces the highly anticipated European, Asian and African Top Employer Indices each year, has just completed this year's research into the HR policies and practices of a large number of leading South African employers. Foskor is one of the few organisations that have been certified as a Best Employer in South Africa for 2012/13.

The participating organisations were assessed on the following criteria: Primary and Secondary Benefits and Working Conditions, Training and Development, Career Development, and Culture Management. All results were audited by Grant Thornton and only those that met the stringent research criteria have indeed been certified as Best Employers.

Zama Nyaose, 25, is an Executive Assistant and has a qualification in banking. She is currently studying towards a BA Degree in Psychology and Marketing. Zama joined the company in 2011 and is responsible for a number of administrative functions ‘‘Foskor's environment is encouraging and dynamic. I am highly inspired by the calibre of my colleagues. I admire their quality of thought and reasoning, as well as their positive outlooks on life. The challenging part of my job has been learning to deal with multiple bosses who do things differently. In order to thrive here you need to be proactive, focused, ambitious and ethical as well as maintaining integrity in your general business approach, but most of all you need to have respect.''
